Yes, exactly, journalism is not broken and does not need a fix. Traditional journalism is decaying, but journalism at-large has migrated to greener pastures – it’s been disrupted and evolved. Media has not died; media has shifted; yet everybody’s pointing at dinosaur fossils as a sign of the apocalypse. Incumbents’ resistance to this evolution is as much to blame for both the “siege” and the unintended consequences as any other factor.

I commend you for your solution: INSURGE sounds like an appropriate response to this landscape and these competitive dynamics. I have no idea about your capacity to execute on the idea, but the opportunity you’re assuming is itself emblematic of media’s progress — not its regress.
